Paulette Ivory is indeed immensely talented. She was sensationally good
in the US tour of "Aida". Some of her first professional jobs were at
the Oldham Coliseum in north-west England, where she was a terrific
Marta in "Company" - I've never heard anyone sing "Another Hundred
People" better than she did, original cast recording performance
included - and where she played the lead in a 70s jukebox musical called
"Hot Stuff", in which she gave memorable renditions of "The Winner Takes
it All" and "I Will Survive".
Nice to hear she's still working. She's one of those people who really
ought to be a huge star, but somehow isn't.

I didn't just come up the Manchester Ship Canal on a Ryvita, you know.
