According to Chapter XV of "The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire," by
Edward Gibbon, the entire Christian mythology arose in Rome and spread from
there. It was Constantine's mother that went to Jerusalem to "Rediscover"
the holy sites which some have been patched together, over the centuries.
The locals seem more amused than not, although they all specialize in any
tour, artifact, or shrine that gains income. In my several trips there I
have yet to find a Christian convert, with a Jewish name, who proudly
proclaims that their family was the first to be converted by Jesus. But
nothing will stop the spreading of hate. If it is not one thing then there
is another thing - any excuse to spread hate. And the people who most
believe in any religion are always the first to spread hate. And always
they say they are the religion of peace. Gee, I had thirty seconds to waste
responding to this nonsense.
