Hey Victor,
There is an excellent resource for making odd sound effects through
the website for Experimental Musical Instruments. They have a great
little book called: FUNNY NOISES FOR THE CONNOISSEUR. Despite the
title, it is a great little book. According to their the website, it
was co-written by Ray Brunelle, who is a sound effects specialist and
an active contributor to commercial sound-effects libraries; he has
also studied and written on the history of sound effects. It is also
co-written by Vince Nicastro, a Foley artist with an impressive list
of major film credits behind him. The link is:

It includes a CD and is a fascinating read if for no other reason than
the ideas it gives you for designing your own odd sounds
acoustically. It is a great starting point.
I'd try to listen to a few sound samples from the Sound Dogs website
as well. They are an online resource for downloading sound effects.
You might be inspired.
Electric guitars are good for this, so are animal sounds that are
modified through ProTools or some other audio editing program using
pitch shifting and the like.
Just a few thoughts.
Hope this sends you down some interesting paths.
