Audio Technica 822. Same as the 825 but unbalanced and less expensive.
It comes with a stereo mini plug and will plug directly into
your Edirol R09. It can be adapted to XLR inputs with an unbalanced
adapter cable.
Basic 20-20k electret capsules. Nothing special but reasonably quiet.
You'd have to build a windscreen for it. I built a "softie" type
that's good up to about 20mph. If you had phantom power you could try
the COS-22 from Sanken. Really small.
