And most of Ireland isn't as wet as, well, *here* (the Pennine foothills
north-east of Manchester). Here, it rains. And rains. And rains. These
hills are the highest between here and the Atlantic - including anything
parallel to us in Ireland - and any weather systems moving east over
here dump their load, in the form of heavy rainfall, all over
Saddleworth. It's very green here, and very damp.
