Some are. I've seen a few splendid examples of such.

I'm not in the habit of requiring fitness and medical exam
reports from people with whom I might like to form relationships. All
I ask is that they not be contagious.

That might just be because I've socialized on occasion with
groups of large people. Their greatest problem is ill-treatment from
others. It is amazing to me that society could so marginalize a group
of people yet be so blind to that as a reason for depression in said
group.
