Sorry Mark but I guess we have part company on that. I do not like
too reverent an attitude towards films that were made strictly as
entertainment. The makers of the Universal horror classics were
consumate professionals for the most part but they didn't take them
seriously - no reason why we should. Nothing wrong with having a
little fun along the way - both in making them and viewing them.
