Well-said... dissatisfaction with the status quo is part of any
reasonable position these days.
Interestingly, republican voter turn-out has skyrocketed
just as much as democratic. I think *neither* party has
been serving their constituencies well at all, and people
are feeling more motivated to throw their $ in for
change. Unfortunately, it appears as if it amounts to
simply a greater volume of the same old stupid votes
for the wrong people on both sides, which will not serve
any of us well with regards to improving anything.

Again, well-said... particularly so because it applies
equally, whether said by true liberals or true conservatives.
I myself found Mrs. Obama's remark to seem fairly natural,
and was irritated that anyone made a big deal about
it - but definitely not so surprised when I reminded myself of
how stupid the tactics that the drive-by media and "politiks"
players employ... from that perspective, perhaps she might
have foreseen what others were likely to do with such a
remark, and perhaps everyone else should just be satisfied
with what she really meant instead of trying to leverage the
"twisting" of it for political gain.
