Ditto. (If that presenter had only managed her dress professionally
and kept out from under the winner's feet!)

I understand that Peter Devlin had US$100 on "Bourne Ultimatum".
(Score!)

Now that The Academy has created my short list, I'll be watching (and
listening to) the winner and nominees asap.

Speaking of which, I just got back from "No Country for Old Men". Of
famous films in recent memory, (in my opinion) this one should become
a study in what we should strive for in location sound recording, and
its value to the audience's experience.

Nice full credit for Peter Kurland, too.

For the financially minded among us, this show's sound acclaim should
also keep the desirability and value high for used Zaxcom Deva-2
recorders and Cooper CS-106 mixers. It really says something when the
older standards can keep up with the new hot stuff (although it took
two Deva-2 recorders at once sometimes).

Later this week for me: Bourne... Transformers... 'Blood... 'Yuma....
