Joe,
I just did a job with this setup. No, the file names must be entered
on each machine separately, So make sure you have an (A) and (B)
designation in the file names that pertain to each machine. And keep
good notes. What I did was this. For example
Scene 101
At first I thought about using (A) and (B) but then we all know we use
those designations for sub scenes, so then I thought of using (X) and
(Z) but then that seemed confusing. So I just went with (1) and (2)
and put the underscore between the Scene # and the designator as a
placeholder so that if we did have sub scenes, I could quickly change
the underscore to be (A, B, C....). This worked out pretty well. Hope
this helps, and take good notes. No calls from post yet, so no news is
good news. Double check your timecodes every so often, one scene of
mine, for some reason had different codes. Not sure why this happened,
but it only happened once. Sticks will be the editors life saver.
