What you call "pap regurgitated" I call history. The anti-
Stratfordians have not a single piece of evidence for their case --
nothing. All you guys have is a vague feeling that Shakespeare wasn't
the sort of illustrious celebrity you feel he should have been.
Your statement that nothing connects the man to his works till 15
years after his death is absolutely false. But it's typical of the
self-delusion of Oxfordians that they blithely state easily
disprovable lies as if they were facts.
THE FACTS:
WS (William Shakespeare) moved from Stratford to London.
At that time, poems and plays under his name began to appear.
WS was the manager and part-owner not only of theatres, but of THE
EXACT COMPANIES AND THEATRES which happened to produce Shakespeare's
plays.
Upon WS's death in Stratford, a monument was erected commending his
greatness as a poet and even showing him writing! His close friend
Ben Jonson and others published tributes and verses praising the man
and his works.
If Shakspeare didn't write his works, neither did Tolstoy, Dickens, or
Hemingway. There is no "mystery" about Shakespeare, except to
nutcases like Looney and Delia Bacon or people who pick up one anti-
Stratfordian book without reading any real history of the period.
It's exactly like THE DA VINCI CODE. Seems like "the real story" to
those who don't know the real story and the real historical record.
