I use this setup, but on initial purchase, the DVDRAM drive would not
power itself from the 744T if I was using the bus filter that it comes
with. There is an LED on the Filter, and power was reaching the
filter, but no power was getting to the drive. If I bypassed the
filter, then it powered fine and the audio was clean. I later sent
the filter to SD and they replaced it so now it works. I used this
setup without the bus filter for a couple weeks for my back-up audio
and had no issues with power noise.
