The title's ironic. Remember the scene where Jim tells his parents
about the chicky race and says he's going to the cops, and they tell
him no way, no how? Then when he does go to the cops, the one guy
who'll listen isn't there and the desk sergeant tells him to get
lost. The point is that he wants to do right, but society keeps
pushing him onto the wrong path.
