I'm Japanese but live in Europe. So, I have no experience to work in
Japan but was curious to know about.
I made a search on internet.
Frequencies allowed for professional use in Japan are:
FPU2 Range (Type A2) 779=EF=BD=9E788MHz
FPU4 Range (Type A) 797=EF=BD=9E806MHz
Type B 806=EF=BD=9E810MHz
A and A2 are shared with relay broadcasting, and required licence for
use, B is free of licence.
Both are limited to 10mW output.
Here's a link but in Japanese. Maybe you can find someone to translate
to English...
> /datafile/ (from "Sound engineers and =
Artists society of Japan" website)
> /datafile/ (from Shure's Japanese dist=
ributor's website)
Of course this is an "official information" and probably differ from
what they use on the set. But thought it's worth to share.
