Very different from her own sound, yes....
This reminds me of an example of more-convincing, but less effective:
The singer chosen, seemingly on the basis of vocal resemblance, and
that alone, to dub for Peter O'Toole in the film, 'Man of la
Mancha'. Had "The Powers That Be" selected a bona fide operatic bass
or baritone (ala the original Don Q., Kiley) to supply the voice, what
a difference it might have made for this IMO underrated movie.
