French fashion designers started it. They wanted a way to show off the
chothes, while trying to minimize the effects of the woman wearing them.
They LITERALLY wanted human hangers. So they would find poor starving
girls, clean then up, and have them wear the clothes in the fashion show.
The look worked, but impressionable people viewed that as saying the
starving look is sexy. It was never intended to be that, but it's what
things have become. Now girls look at the magazines, and want to be
toothpick skinny, and it's unhealthy.
As for the direct question of fertility, I like a woman with a bit of a
butt on her... And sorry, but skinny girls have no butt. A plus size
woman can, for lack of a better term, be ridden. Skinny galls look like
they will snap in half.
