Putting a label on the screen during the actual show is simply
overboard. Come on, the average listener ( the guy for who we really
work ) does not care about our little moral issues about the purity of
the moment and the vintage feel of the experience. Guys let's face
it, we need to be a little bit more aware of what the audience ( again
the guys for who we really work ) wants. 2007, multimedia time,
surround sound in a lot of home, big screen tv etc... In order to
reach them ( us ) we need to address these media and use them to our
advantage, this is the only way you can get your message across and
captivate an audience. If you are feeling so bad about the recreation
of audio, a simple message at the begining or during the credit should
be more than enough...

Again my two cents....

PS. Although i believe that the dynamic range of the effects vs the
dialog was too great, but i guess they were making a point by showing
us how surprising and sudden these particular sound could be during
the actual event.
